LawnSpotter (“LawnSpotter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is based in New York, NY. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to lawnspotter.com, app.lawnspotter.com, and the LawnSpotter software and services (together, the “Service”).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on our website, start a free trial, create an account, or contact us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, the metro areas you serve, the type of work you do, and your message. If you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment card details. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website or use the Service, we and our service providers collect standard log and device information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and the site that referred you. We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions and basic analytics.
Property and public-record information. To provide the Service, we collect information about properties in the metro areas we cover from publicly available sources, including government building-permit records, property appraiser and sales records, code-enforcement records, and other public sources. This information can include property addresses, transaction details, permit and case details, and owner or contact names as they appear in public records. We collect this information only from sources that are publicly available.
Information from your team. If you email a route or otherwise share content with team members through the Service, we process the email addresses and other details you provide in order to deliver it.
How we use information
To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating leads and routes for the markets you subscribe to.
To create and manage your account and process your subscription and payments.
To respond to your questions, requests, and support needs.
To send service-related messages, such as account, billing, and security notices, and routes you choose to send to your team.
To send marketing emails about LawnSpotter. You can opt out at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
To protect the Service, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.

How we share information
Service providers. We share information with companies that help us run the Service, such as website hosting, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics providers. They may use it only to perform services for us.
Our customers. Property and public-record information is made available to LawnSpotter customers as part of the Service, so they can market their lawn care and outdoor services.
Your team. Information you choose to share, such as a route, is delivered to the team members you specify.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LawnSpotter, our customers, or others.
Business transfers. If LawnSpotter is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell the personal information of our website visitors or customers. The property information in the Service comes from publicly available government and other public records.

How long we keep information
We keep account and billing information for as long as your account is active and as needed afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We keep form submissions and support messages for as long as needed to respond and maintain our records. Property and public-record information is refreshed and updated over time as the underlying public sources change.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Account information. You can review and update your account information in the Service, or email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email. We will still send service-related messages.
Property owners. If information about your property appears in the Service and you would like it removed from what we make available to customers, email support@lawnspotter.com with the property address. We will honor requests where the law allows and confirm when the removal is complete.
State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to request that we delete or correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, email support@lawnspotter.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. Information that is lawfully made available from government records may be treated differently under some of these laws.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party sites and services
The Service may link to or rely on third-party sites and services, including Stripe for payments. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.
